Pretty in pink...pink polka dot pants!

Since during the summer I work as a student ambassador on campus, I have to be comfortable enough to tour around prospective students and also professional enough to work in an office. However, since yesterday was weird and totally chilly (where is the summer?!) I stupidly thought today would be the same.... Whoops. It was hot out today! But none-the-less I love my new pants so I'm not even mad.
These pants are awesome because HELLOO... They have pink spots all over them! The only bad part is that they have no pockets :(. I surprisingly like having the zipper on the hip though, especially with the stretch in the fabric.
(There's me wishing there was pockets...)
Since I wanted the pants to obviously be the statement today, I went simple with the rest of my outfit and accessories. White linen is an awesome match to most colored pants, as are gold accessories.

Behind the blog name:

Most people are surprised to hear that I was quite the little tom-boy growing up. I used to gag at the thought of wearing pink, and was more than content with the lime green and plaid overalls from hand-me-downs. There just was no need to look fashionable when your plan for the day was to clean the chicken coop or run around with the goats. However, as I got into my 3rd and 4th years of high school I realized how much I loved 'dressing up' (by that I mean actually putting effort into my outfits). I loved how being fashionable made me feel, and the confidence I got from it. http://fromfarmtofab.blogspot.com/2014/07/behind-blog-name.html
Although I love being as fabulous as possible today, sometimes I do miss being all farmy and the animals my family used to raise. BUT if I do ever feel like I miss that lifestyle, I can just head home because nowadays the Anderson's raise tractors..... Literally. My yard has more tractors and vehicles, and lawn mowers, and machinery (basically anything that runs on an engine I'm pretty sure) than I can count. My brother, Tom and my Dad make a hobby out of rebuilding old tractors.

Usually when I come home Tom is somewhere outside driving a tractor around the yard. This week he chose this John Deere to cruise in... Which coincidentally is one of my favorite tractors we have (mostly because it's the prettiest). So naturally I chose it to take some blog pictures!

I am OBSESSED with my new J. Crew vest. I love the color, the pockets, the drawstring, the zipper... Everything!! It also helps that I got it on sale earlier last month :D I paired it with this lace peplum top and tank top from Forever 21 because I wanted to complement the off-white lace and the army green vest. For some more color, (and by that I mean A LOT of color) I wore coral jeans from Old Navy. Ironically they matched my nail polish and my recent necklace purchase from Forever 21! My sandals are the same from Wednesday (sadly because I only brought home one pair of shoes) and are from Target. Rings are a combination of thrift store finds and given to me by Gramma... But aren't they fab?!

My stay at home was much too short, (only 5 days #sadface)  but it was spent with my family and that's all I can ask for. I got to visit Boston with my mom, go to Plymouth with Hanna and Tom, visit Gramma everyday, see one of my best friends Brenna (photo creds to her on this post <3), hang out which my cats and dog, and Grace even let me do her hair!
See you in December, love you guys!!

Now here's some embarassing shots Brenna caught of me struggling getting on and off the John Deere... It harder than it looks.

Plymouth Waterfront

Today was very hot and muggy, aka bad hair weather. BUT it was perfect dress weather! I've been eyeing this emerald green beauty of my sisters for quite some time and since I didn't bring home too many clothes, she let me borrow it!

haven't been home in over four months, so myself and two of my siblings went to Plymouth for some quality time. Hanna is my older sister and the one I've been annoying to take my blog pictures (gold star for being a trooper Hanna!), and Tommy is my younger, not so fashionable brother who turns 16 today (don't let his height fool you!).

We went to Plymouth to walk around the waterfront, see the not-so-fabulous Plymouth Rock, eat dinner, and buy cupcakes from Cupcake Charlie's! Overall it was a lovely afternoon with 2 of my siblings on this short vacation.
I've always been someone to over-accessorize an outfit, but due to packing limitations... I kept it simple today. The necklace is simple and easy with nearly any summer outfit, it's my go-to on many occasions (I believe it is Forever 21). My sandals are from Target, are literally so comfortable and match practically anything. Sunglasses are Marc by Marc Jacobs... They were a bit pricy but have been reliable for 2 years so far. And finally this dress is last seasons from Old Navy :)

Here's some more pics of the day:

Finally my turn!

I've been considering starting a fashion blog for quite some time, and finally decided it's my turn to show off what I love to do.
I think all things fashion are fabulous and look forward to displaying that through this blog. Expect tons of OOTD's, handmade pieces, college student fashion struggles, and the occasional post about missing home.
Enjoy, my fabulous friends :)
