Let's talk about Homecoming!

Marymount's Homecoming was last weekend! It was a packed weekend of special events, soccer & lacrosse games, and even a street fair. Since I'm on the executive board for ACE (association for campus events) I was actively involved with most events set-ups, run-throughs, and take-downs. So, here's a little play-by-play of Eva's weekend:

Friday (after classes of course) was spent preparing for the event on Saturday and also prep for the Homecoming Dance began. The theme was Cirque De Soil, and I had the PERFECT dress for it if you ask me ;P (I actually made the dress my senior year of high school!) Here are some pictures of the dance....sorry about the blurry-ness :(.

Saturday we had Festival Alley for alumni and current students to join in on. There was popcorn, cotton candy, face painters (of whom I asked to make me into a cheetah), BBQ, cupcakes, corn hole, music, a bouncy house, a mechanical shark, and a ton of other fun things for everyone to enjoy. I didn't get too many because I was busy having fun!
Saturday night we had our 3rd Dancing with the MU Stars event. It's basically the same as DWTS except the contestants are either MU alumni, faculty, staff, or students and they only have to perform one dance. Their partners are professional dancers from the Fred Astaire Dance Studio (so the real deal) and they choreograph the dances. (I've always been super jealous of the dancers because they get to wear all these super expensive, beautiful dresses... but hey, I had my face painted like a cheetah/ who's the real winner here?) Among the contestants was my super good friend Zack (the guy in the dance picture with me) and an awesome Admissions counselor/ MU alumn Eric! They both did super fabulous, but sadly didn't take home the mirror ball trophy. Overall, I think this event is one of the best Marymount puts on (I'm bias toward Portfolio in Motion of course) and can't wait for next years.
